Are You Looking for Freedom?

Have you ever felt like something was holding you back? Have you ever felt like something was keeping you from reaching your destiny? Maybe you feel like a prisoner to bad habits or poor decisions?  Maybe you feel too broken to become whole again? Maybe you feel chained by pain, anger, bitterness, resentment, or past sins? Maybe you feel shackled by fears of failure and disappointment?

Two weeks ago, we had Vacation Bible School at my church. John 3:1a was one of the memory verses for the children.

I love this verse because it reminds us of our God’s great love for us and of our true identity in Jesus Christ. God never meant for us to live like prisoners to fear, resentment, or past regrets.  John 1:12-14 NIV says “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” It is by God’s grace and mercy that we are freed from our past and the identity the world tries to give us. In Christ, we can find our true identity: the beautiful person God meant us to be.  John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice on the cross so we could be freed from sin and hurts of this world.

“So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”  

Galatians 4:7 NIV     

Think about the lyrics to the song, “You found me,” by Switchfoot.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much that You were willing to send Your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to pay the ultimate price on the cross to redeem us from our sins. Thank You for the gift of salvation, freedom, and love we find in You. Amen.

 

 

¿Cómo Orar Cuando la Vida no Tiene Sentido? (Parte 2)

Si elegimos y oramos para vivir en la voluntad de Dios , debemos entender que a veces Dios nos permite luchar y sufrir no solo para cambiarnos, sino también para prepararnos para sus planes futuros. En Mateo 26: 36-42 (Refiérase a la Parte 1 de Cómo orar cuando la vida no tiene sentido [Parte 1]), Jesucristo fue con sus discípulos al Getsemaní a orar. Jesucristo sabía que era la voluntad de Dios dar su vida para pagar la deuda por nuestros pecados. Jesús oro “… Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí esta copa; pero no sea como yo quiero, sino como tú.” -Mateo 26:39 RVR 1960 Cuando Jesucristo oró esta oración, esperó el mayor dolor y sufrimiento que jamás haya existido, la crucifixión (el sacrificio máximo para la humanidad). Dos veces, Jesús oró por la voluntad de Dios y no por su propia voluntad. De la misma manera, debemos orar. Las letras de una canción cantada por Hillary Scott son las siguientes: “Estoy tan confundida que sé que te escuché fuerte y claro / Entonces, la seguí / De alguna manera terminé aquí No quiero pensar / Quizás nunca lo entiendo / Que mi corazón roto es parte de tu plan / Cuando trato de orar / Todo lo que tengo se lastima y estas cuatro palabras / Hágase tu voluntad… ” Cuando oramos por la voluntad de Dios, debemos tener la actitud correcta. “Podríamos orar esta oración en una actitud de derrota. No lo dices porque lo quieres, sino porque Dios es más fuerte que tú. También puedes decirlo con amargo resentimiento y en ardiente ira hacia Dios. Sin embargo, Dios quiere que lo recemos en completo amor y confianza porque sabemos que Dios solo tiene nuestros mejores intereses en el corazón … Antes de que podamos estar en perfecta armonía con la voluntad de Dios …, debemos estar sintonizados con Su perfecta voluntad en amorosa sumisión (Solly Ozrovech, A Season of Hope, p. 14 de mayo).” 

“Justificados, pues, por la fe, tenemos paz para con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo; por quien también tenemos entrada por la fe a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes, y nos gloriamos en la esperanza de la gloria de Dios. Y no sólo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia; y la paciencia, prueba; y la prueba, esperanza; y la esperanza no averg:uenza; porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo que nos fue dado.” -Romanos 5:1-5 RVR 1960

 Romanos 5:1-5 nos recuerda que hay un propósito para el sufrimiento. El sufrimiento no solo nos da corazones más compasivos para la gente que nos rodean, sino que nos enseña a confiar más en Dios y a recordarnos la esperanza de la vida eterna que nos tenemos en Jesucristo. Así como Dios permite que la oruga lucha por sí misma para salir del capullo una mariposa, también nos permite soportar las dificultades para transformarnos en la gente, que Él predestinó a convertirnos.

“La gente muchas veces elabora su propia agenda para Jesús y luego no esperan nada más de Él. Su trabajo se extiende mucho más allá de lo que cualquiera de nosotros podría pensar o soñar “.(Solly Ozrovech, A Season of Hope, p. 14 de mayo) Pero, tenemos que estar dispuestos a permitir que Dios nos quite nuestros planes simples y nos suplanta a los Sus planes divinos, incluso si significa sacrificar nuestros sueños y / o tomar un camino más difícil. Querido Señor Jesucristo, por favor darnos corazones que son siempre dispuestos a someterse a Tu voluntad. Amén.

¿Cómo Orar Cuando la Vida no Tiene Sentido? (Parte 1)

“Entonces llegó Jesús con ellos a un lugar que se llama Getsemaní, y dijo a sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, entre tanto que voy allí y oro… Entonces Jesús les dijo: Mi alma está muy triste, hasta la muerte; quedaos aquí, y velad conmigo. Yendo un poco adelante, se postró sobre su rostro, orando y diciendo: Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí esta copa; pero no sea como yo quiero, sino como tú. Vino luego a sus discípulos, y los halló durmiendo, y dijo a Pedro: ¿Así que no habéis podido velar conmigo una hora? Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación; el espíritu a la verdad está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil. Otra vez fue, y oró por segunda vez, diciendo: Padre mío, si no puede pasar de mí esta copa sin que yo la beba, hágase tu voluntad.”

En Mateo 6, Jesús instruye a Sus seguidores sobre cómo orar. Dentro de las dos primeras líneas de la oración del Señor, Él nos instruye a orar por la voluntad de Dios. “Vosotros, pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino. Hágase tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra.” Mateo 6:9-10 RVR1960

En Mateo 26: 36-42, Jesús establece el ejemplo perfecto para nosotros de lo que significa orar por la voluntad de Dios y someter nuestra voluntad a la voluntad de Dios. Pero, no siempre es fácil orar por la voluntad de Dios. Teólogo y erudito, CS Lewis escribió: “No estamos necesariamente dudando de que Dios hará lo mejor para nosotros; nos preguntamos cuán doloroso será lo mejor “. -CS Lewis Como CS Lewis, a veces tememos la voluntad de Dios. Tal vez, tememos que para vivir la voluntad de Dios en nuestras vidas, es posible que tengamos que sufrir. Es posible que tengamos que sacrificar nuestros sueños, ir a lugares lejanos, pasar por tiempos difíciles, perder seres queridos, ser roto y finalmente cambiado. Pero, experimentar dolor y quebrantamiento nos cambia. El compositor cristiano, Jason Gray, escribió: “Nadie desea esto. Nadie está buscando un dolor de corazón. Pero sé que a veces es así. No pedí por el camino fácil tampoco. Pero supongo que es lo que pensaste que más necesitaba Si mi vida nunca se hubiera roto Entonces mis manos nunca se habrían abierto. ” El dolor y el sufrimiento nos cambian al abrir los ojos a los daños del mundo que nos rodea y al abrir nuestras manos para ayudar a los necesitados . El dolor y el sufrimiento pueden ser usados ​​por Dios para darnos corazones más compasivos y un mayor sentido de empatía hacia los demás. Solo Dios le permite a la oruga luchar contra su capullo para transformarlo en una hermosa mariposa. También nos permite soportar el dolor y el sufrimiento para transformar nuestros corazones en corazones con una mayor capacidad de amar.

Finding the Right Road

Have you ever felt confused about your life? Did you reach a point where you didn’t know what step to take next? Maybe every part of your life always made sense and then suddenly everything came crashing to the ground? Perhaps you have had a series of setbacks over the course of your journey, which made you question God’s will for your life? You are not alone.   

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.”  

– Psalm 143:8 NIV

In Psalm 143:8, the psalmist despite his dire situation, wrote, “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.” His words reflect his trust in God’s faithfulness. Perhaps God seemed far away. But, this prayer is bold. He doesn’t just ask God to help him whenever. He writes, “Let the morning bring me word…” He trusts that God will make a way and show him the way he should go. In the same way, we should confidently come to God, our Father, knowing that if we completely surrender our lives to Him, God will show us the way to go.  

Think about the lyrics from the song, “Help me find it,”  by Sidewalk Prophets:

“I don’t know where to go from here
It all used to seem so clear
I’m finding I can’t do this on my own
I don’t know where to go from here
As long as I know that You are near
I’m done fighting
I’m finally letting go
I will trust in You

 If there’s a road I should walk Help me find it…  

I’m giving You fear and You give faith
I giving you doubt
You give me grace
For every step I’ve never been alone
Even when it hurts, You’ll have Your way
Even in the valley I will say

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for always being there for us even when we feel confused and alone. When we feel lost, please help us confidently trust in You and Your unfailing love. Please help us to find the paths you would have us to walk. Amen.

¿Donde Estas Buscando?

“Mis ojos desfallecieron de lágrimas, se conmovieron mis entrañas,
Mi hígado se derramó por tierra a causa del quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo,
Cuando desfallecía el niño y el que mamaba, en las plazas de la ciudad.”  

-Lamentaciones 2:11 RVR 1960

En Lamentaciones 2, el profeta Jeremías se encentra en las problemas y dificultades, que Israel está atravesando. En Lamentaciones 2:11, Jeremías escribe que ha estado llorando tanto tiempo, que sus ojos le están fallando. A veces, cuando miramos a nuestro alrededor, nuestras vidas parecen que están llenos de problemas. Sin embargo, no podemos centrarnos en nuestros problemas o vamos a ser miserables. Tenemos que mantener nuestro enfoque en la bondad de Dios en nuestras vidas. Podríamos tener problemas viniendo en todas las direcciones, pero si nos fijamos en nuestras vidas más cerca, veremos que nuestras vidas son llenas de pequeñas bendiciones. Tal vez no estamos viendo aquellas bendiciónes  porque estamos tan enfocados en nuestros problemas? Sin embargo, con Dios, nuestros problemas se desvanecerán. ¿Por qué enfocaremos todos nuestros esfuerzos en estos problemas, cuando nuestro Dios es mucho más grande que nuestros problemas?

Estimado Señor Jesucristo, por favor, ayúdenos a mantener nuestros ojos centrados en Ti y no nuestros problemas. Amén.

Semana Santa: Experimentar a Jesucristo

En Filipenses 3:10, Pablo escribe que quiere llegar ‘… a ser semejante a él en su muerte,…” El desarrollo de una relación con un individual implica no sólo la comunicación con ellos, sino también un intercambio de experiencias con ese individual. Compartimos no sólo las experiencias positivas con ellos, sino también experiencias muy difíciles con ellos. Aquí Pablo escribe acerca de compartir en el sufrimiento de Cristo. Este no es un caso aislado. Un número de otras escrituras también hablan de la participación en los sufrimientos de Cristo (1 Pedro 4:13, 2 Corintios 1: 5, y Romanos 8: 17-18). En estos versiculos, sufriendo con Cristo parece ser un requisito para compartir en su gloria. Es especialmente durante esta época del año, que nos recuerda: nuestro sufrimiento humanamente es nada en comparación con el sufrimiento de Cristo (cuando El pagó  el precio por nuestros pecados en la cruz). 1 Pedro 2: 21-22 RVC dice: “... Y ustedes fueron llamados para esto. Porque también Cristo sufrió por nosotros, con lo que nos dio un ejemplo para que sigamos sus pasos. Cristo no cometió ningún pecado, ni hubo engaño en su boca.” A veces, nosotros sufrimos por obedecer a Dios o tratar de ayudar a los demás. El autocontrol que es necesario ejercer para obedecer a Dios o seguir su voluntad, se puede sentir como sufrimiento. Además, en nuestros esfuerzos para ayudar a otros compartiendo en sus dificultades, podemos sentir su dolor y compartir su sufrimiento. De esta manera, compartimos en su sufrimiento. Sin embargo, todo esto no es nada en comparación con el sufrimiento de Cristo. Filipenses 3:10 también menciona la participación en la muerte de Cristo. ¿Qué significa para compartir en la muerte de Cristo? Romanos 6: 6-8 RVR 1960 dice, “sabiendo esto, que nuestro viejo hombre fue crucificado juntamente con él, para que el cuerpo del pecado sea destruido, a fin de que no sirvamos más al pecado.Porque el que ha muerto, ha sido justificado del pecado. Y si morimos con Cristo, creemos que también viviremos con él;”Esto significa que nuestra naturaleza humana pecaminosa debe morir, por lo que ya no tiene poder sobre nosotros. Vivir con Cristo significa tener una relación íntima con Él y participar en el poder de Su resurrección.

Estimado Señor Jesucristo, por favor ayudanos a experimentar a Usted en un nivel más profundo. Amén.

Semana Santa: Conociendo a Jesucristo

“ a fin de conocerle, y el poder de su resurrección, y la participación de sus padecimientos, llegando a ser semejante a él en su muerte, si en alguna manera llegase a la resurrección de entre los muertos.”

Este verso es muy apropiado para esta semana, ya que es la Semana Santa. La gran pregunta aquí es ¿qué significa conocer a Jesucristo (descrito como el “justo santo” en Hechos 3:14)? Si alguien le pregunta: ¿usted conoce a Jesucristo? ¿Cómo respondería a esa pregunta? Con el fin de responder a esta pregunta, debemos hacernos la siguiente pregunta: ¿realmente conocemos a Jesucristo o solo sabemos acerca de Él? Imagine tener una celebridad favorita (que nunca ha conocido) y conocer todos los detalles acerca de él o ella. Y, a continuación, alguien le pregunta si conoces ese famoso(a). ¿Usted estaría dando una respuesta honesta si contesta que sí? Absolutamente no. ¿Por qué? Bueno, si le preguntas a la celebridad si él o ella te conoce, la celebridad diría que no. Él punto es la única manera de conocer a alguien es tener una relación personal con ellos. Por lo tanto, debemos tener una relación personal con Cristo para ser capaz de decir sinceramente que nosotros le conocemos. Cualquier relación requiere una comunicación bidireccional. ¿Realmente estamos comunicando con Jesucristo? Somos no sólo fiel en la oración, sino también diligentes y pacientes en escuchar? Sabemos que Dios siempre nos está escuchando. Sólo tenemos que hablar con Él. No importa qué hora es o dónde estamos. 1 Juan 5:14 RVR 1960 dice, “Y esta es la confianza que tenemos en él, que si pedimos alguna cosa conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye.” Por otra parte, no sólo Él nos escucha, pero Él nos habla. Juan 10:27 RVR 1960 dice: “Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y me siguen,…” Note cómo se dice,‘yo las conozco, ..’ Conocer a Jesúscristo implica no sólo hablando, sino también escuchando.

Faith in the Fog?

Have you ever been afraid to trust in God or have faith in Him? Do you have faith in His promise of Salvation and eternal life with Him in Heaven? Do you truly believe God keeps all of His promises written in the Bible? Do you have faith that God will never leave you or forsake you? Or does having faith seem difficult? Have you felt let down in life? Do you feel alone and hopeless?  Do you believe the promises of the Bible are not for you? Do you find it challenging to have faith in your daily life?

“He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”

 – Galatians 3:14 NIV

Just as God promised Abraham that he and his descendants would be heirs to the promised land (and hope in the Savior that was to come), God has promised us that we will be heirs to the kingdom of Heaven. Galatians 3:7-14 NIV says, “Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”  So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.  For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”  Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”  Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”  He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. –Galatians 3:7‭-‬14 NIV God sent Jesus Christ, His perfect only Son to pay the penalty we needed to pay for under the law. It is by God’s grace and love that we are given the promise of Salvation and so many other promises.

 –1 John 2:25 NIV

 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” -2 Corinthians 1:20‭-‬22 NIV Jesus sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of our salvation and the promise of eternal life with Him in heaven. Romans 8:16-18 says, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Abraham didn’t know where God was leading Him, but He had faith in God and obeyed Him. “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. “
-Hebrews 11:8 NIV No matter how hard things get, we can have faith in God and His plans for us. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for all of Your promises. Please help us to have faith like Abraham. Amen.

 

 

 

 

What You Can’t Do Without This Thanksgiving?

It was a cold November morning and I was wishing the summer weather didn’t have to end so abruptly or ever for that matter. My thoughts drifted to warm days when I could go swimming or enjoy an evening outdoors without thinking about the need of a sweater. Then, reality hit me. I saw the advertisements filled with Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas sales. Winter was here and the majority of people couldn’t wait for Thanksgiving. As a child, I always viewed Thanksgiving as an excuse to feast.

What is the meaning of Thanksgiving? The first Thanksgiving dates back to November 1621, when colonist in Plymouth shared a feast with Wampanoag Native Americans to celebrate their first autumn harvest. It was viewed as a time of thankfulness, acceptance, and sharing. But, today’s society paints the holiday in a different light. Perhaps, you have received some of these subliminal messages? You need to buy the most and the best quality food. It’s not Thanksgiving, without this or that— but, what if you are lacking? What if you don’t have the best dinner with all of Thanksgiving trimmings? What if you aren’t the best cook? What if your house doesn’t have the best decorations or look the best? What if you don’t have everything that you wanted and aren’t the best at what you do? What if you feel frustrated, stressed out, and burned out? What if you aren’t very excited for the holidays? What if all just seems lackluster?

Then, perhaps we’ve lost sight of the meaning of Thanksgiving? Maybe Thanksgiving should be about more than just eating a feast.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”  

– Psalm 100:4 NIV

As Christians, we always have something to be thankful for; God’s never-ending love for us and our Salvation in Christ Jesus (read John 3:16). “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1 NIV

Thanksgiving season is a time to thank God for everything. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV
says, “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “[A]ll circumstances”?! Yes, we need to be thankful even if we don’t have what we wanted and things aren’t going the way we planned. If we focus too long on what we don’t have, we fail to see what we do have.

This reminds me of the lyrics to a song called “Thank God for Something” by Hawk Nelson.

“… If you’ve got a lot
Or a lot of nothing
Go ahead and thank God for something
You’re gonna see the good
If you’re good at looking
So go ahead and thank God for something

We have a lot or have a little
It’s really nothing new
Happiness should never be a slave to revenue…

In the wonder In the heartache
In the good times And the mistakes
No matter what I am going through
I can always say Thank you

Let gratitude open my eyes

But, do we really need to “give thanks in all circumstances”?! Yes, we need to be thankful whether things are going well for us or they are not going well for us. Romans 8:28 says, “… all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Even when things don’t seem to be going well, God is at work. We need to be thankful for not only the doors that He opens for us but also the doors that He closes. We need to thank God for what He has done, for what He is doing, and what He will do. We need to not confine thanksgiving to this season, but make it a part of our daily life.

And, in turn thanksgiving will bring the fruits of a joy in the Lord, a stronger trust in God, a deeper relationship with Christ, a greater acceptance of others (even if they are different from us), and a desire to share with others (even if it means not having the best for ourselves).

Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for loving us so much that You were willing to pay the ultimate price of Your life on the cross for our Salvation. Thank You for giving us life and everything else You bless us with. Please help us not to get distracted by what we don’t have, but to instead be thankful every day for what You have given us. Amen.

Hay un tiempo y una época para todo. No podemos correr a través de las etapas de nuestras vida. Del mismo modo que no podemos vivir en el pasado, no podemos vivir en el futuro. Esto es particularmente difícil de decir, porque he aprendido que algunas personas están más orientadas al pasado, mientras que otros son más orientados al futuro. Puedo relacionar más a este último. Como persona más  orientado al futuro, te puedo decir que es difícil no vivir pensando en el futuro. Pero, yo creo que es importante para nosotros a tomar una respiración profunda y tomar todo en una base diaria. Tenemos que vivir en el presente. Historiadora y escritora estadounidense, Alice Morse Earle, escribio, “El reloj está en marcha. Aprovecha al máximo hoy. El tiempo no espera a ningún hombre. Ayer es historia. El mañana es un misterio. Hoy es un regalo. Es por eso que se llama el presente.” En verdad, todo lo que tenemos es hoy en día. Y, por eso es importante que sepamos dónde estamos en los ojos de Dios. Hoy en día, lo más importante es saber que vamos a pasar la eternidad en el cielo con Jesucristo. “Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.” Juan 17: 3 RVR 1960 Si no está seguro de su salvación en Cristo Jesús, ahora es el momento de cambiar eso [lea Romanos 3:23, Juan 5:24 y Romanos 10: 9]. “Porque dice: En tiempo aceptable te he oído, Y en día de salvación te he socorrido. m He aquí ahora el tiempo aceptable; he aquí ahora el día de salvación.” -2 Corintios 6: 2 RVR 1960. No sabemos lo que pasara mañana. Pero, como Cristianos, podemos confiar en que todo está en los manos de Dios. Mateo 10: 29-31 RVR 1960 dice: “¿No se venden dos pajarillos por un cuarto? Con todo, ni uno de ellos cae a tierra sin vuestro Padre. Pues aun vuestros cabellos están todos contados. Así que, no temáis; más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos.” Como hijos de Dios, podemos confiar nuestro futuro en Él. Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran, ni siegan, ni recogen en graneros; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No valéis vosotros mucho más que ellas? ¿Y quién de vosotros podrá, por mucho que se afane, añadir a su estatura un codo?” Mateo 6: 26-27 RVR 1960. Lo tanto, si estamos gastando nuestro tiempo a preocuparse por el futuro, entonces no podemos realmente disfrutar del presente en su plenitud. Por otra parte, en la sociedad actual, también hay un gran enfoque en la tecnología. Y, la tecnología puede hacer muchas cosas beneficiosas. Sin embargo, tenemos que tener cuidado de no llegar a ser tan distraído por ella, que no somos capaces de ver y experimentar toda la belleza que Dios tiene para nosotros, hoy. Hoy en día, tenemos que apreciar no sólo muchas bendiciones de Dios en nuestras vidas (es decir. La salud, las personas, la naturaleza, la música, etc.), sino también las lecciones que Dios tiene para nosotros hoy en día. La sociedad puede decirle, que su vida necesita para adaptarse a una plantilla y hay que hacer las cosas cuando todos los demás están haciendo. Pero, ¿quiénes son ellos para definir nuestros escenarios y experiencias de vida? Alinear nuestras vidas con los planes de Dios es lo que realmente tenemos que hacer para evitar perderse en todo lo que Él tiene para nosotros. Si nos apresuramos hacia la  mañana, es posible que se pierda las lecciones que necesitamos saber para mañana. “Hoy en día es un regalo.” Podríamos perder las alegrías y los regalos sencillos que Dios nos ha dado para hoy. “Hay una época para todo.” Sólo tenemos que confiar en Dios, sabiendo que si hay algo que no está en nuestras vidas en este momento, entonces no es su temporada. Confiamos nuestras vidas a Dios todos los días, por la búsqueda de su voluntad y paciencia de tomar nuestra vida un día a la vez.

Estimado Señor Jesucristo, por favor abre nuestros ojos para ver todas las alegrías y bendiciones que Tu tienes para nosotros hoy, en este momento. Por favor ayúdenos a no estar tan atrapados en nuestros pasados o futuros que no somos capaces de disfrutar del regalo del presente. Amén.
