As we enter the season of fall, I think about Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV which says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
In four days, my best friend (and cousin) enters a new season of her life as she takes the vows of marriage. I look forward to sharing with her in this beautiful season of joy. I also understand that with every season we enter, we must leave the past season behind us. With sadness and joy, we often leave one season of our lives behind us and enter a new season of our lives.
“Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses… He sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy, the time for mourning and the time for dancing,”
– Ecclesiastes 3:1,4 GNT
New seasons are exciting, but they often bring new responsibilities and new challenges. Challenges can be beneficial because they push us to grow in new ways (spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually). As we enter new seasons, we need to have faith in God and His plans for our lives. We also need to allow God to guide us and transform us into more Christlike individuals. We can be confident that no matter what season we face, God is with us and His love for us remains the same.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
-Hebrews 13:8
I will be taking a break from He Knows Your Name to travel to the south to serve as maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding and travel to the other side of the country for an adventure.
With the Lord’s will, I plan to resume blog posts in November. Please keep me and my family in your prayers as we will be doing quite a bit of traveling this month.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for always loving us the same regardless of what season of our life we are in. Please bless and guide my best friend and her future husband as they enter this new season of their lives together. Please keep me and my family safe as we travel. Please surround the readers of He Knows Your Name with Your infinite love. Amen.
